WorkPackage 6. Climate changes - its effects on the population dynamics relevant for the MSE methods applied.

The sea water is warming up and it might have influenced the population dynamics of some of the six fish stocks considered in the present project. It might also be expected to influence the population dynamics in future years.

We do not look more than about 10 years into the future and expect that our work will be revisited in about 10 years time. Thus, it is of most relevance whether the basic assumption when estimating the new Fmsy values, that population dynamics are without trends in the past several decades, holds for the stocks considered in the present project. If not, corrections to the new Fmsy values will be attempted that considers such trends and come up with what the current Fmsy should be. This value is then analysed in MSEs (in the relevant WP).
